Respectful individuals never allow others to make them feel guilty for simply having boundaries or desires of their own. True self-respect means recognizing and rejecting emotional blackmail in all its forms.

Taking Advantage of Kindness

There’s nothing wrong with being generous and kind, but when your kindness is taken for granted or exploited, it’s a red flag. Some people see kindness as a weakness, constantly taking without giving back. Respect for yourself means understanding when to offer help and when to say no.
