Rather than a completely new concept, the Woodlands location expands an established restaurant. Bari first opened in Houston’s River Oaks District in 2023, and the new outpost is designed to carry that same polished Italian approach into one of The Woodlands’ busiest dining areas.
A familiar Houston restaurant is creating a larger second chapter.
For diners who have followed Houston’s restaurant scene, Bari’s move into The Woodlands continues an existing story. The restaurant’s first location introduced a menu centered on Italian classics, including pasta, pizza, and elevated dining presentations.
The new Waterway location gives Bari a chance to bring that experience beyond its original River Oaks home. Bari Hospitality Group has described the Woodlands restaurant as a response to local guest support, with co-owner and operator Pedro Teyuca saying visitors from The Woodlands had traveled to the River Oaks District location and requested a closer option.
That perspective comes from the company itself, but it helps explain the reasoning behind the expansion: the restaurant is not introducing an unfamiliar name to the area. Instead, it is bringing an existing dining format to a new neighborhood.
A spacious restaurant designed for celebrations and gatherings
The size of the planned Woodlands restaurant suggests that Bari is aiming to be more than a place for everyday pasta dinners. The upcoming location will occupy 9,000 square feet and is expected to seat 250 guests.
The design also includes spaces intended for group occasions. Plans call for two private dining rooms, each accommodating up to 40 people, plus a lounge for up to 30 guests. Those features create room for celebrations, business dinners, and other gatherings where the setting matters as much as the food.
A restaurant’s atmosphere often shapes how people remember a meal. A larger dining room, private spaces, and dedicated group areas can turn a simple dinner into something planned and shared. Bari’s Woodlands location appears designed with those kinds of moments in mind.

Planned tableside offerings include truffle pasta, grilled branzino, Bananas Foster, Chateaubriand, and Fiorentina. These dishes add a sense of occasion by making preparation and presentation part of the dining experience.
The menu will also include familiar Bari favorites such as fritto misto, pappardelle Bolognese, and pizza. Alongside those staples, the Woodlands location is expected to introduce additional offerings created specifically for the new restaurant, including Pollo Piccata, Scaloppine Sorrentina, and a grilled chicken sandwich.
Because these details come from pre-opening announcements, view the menu as the restaurant’s planned offering rather than a guarantee of permanent selections. Still, the direction is clear: Bari wants its second location to combine recognizable Italian comfort dishes with a more theatrical service style.
A new dining option arrives as Waterway continues to grow.
Bari’s arrival adds another name to the restaurant activity surrounding Waterway Avenue. Local coverage has highlighted the opening alongside other restaurant additions in the area, including Bar Bludorn and Charolais.
For diners, that means the opening is not just about one restaurant. It also means another option is joining a growing collection of places to eat, gather, and spend time in The Woodlands Waterway area.
The timing also gives guests something else to look forward to shortly after opening day. Bari plans to begin weekend brunch on Oct. 4, adding another dining occasion beyond dinner service.
Brunch is scheduled as a Saturday-and-Sunday offering, giving the restaurant another way to introduce its Italian dining style to the community soon after its doors open.
