Doja Cat Goes Off on Elon Musk: ‘Barrel Chested Ewok, You Look Like You Eat Sand’

Doja Cat has never been one to sugarcoat her feelings, and her latest message to Elon Musk is proof of that.

The Grammy-winning artist took to X on Wednesday with a request to the platform’s billionaire owner, but she paired it with a string of colorful insults that are now making the rounds online. Whatever she was hoping to accomplish, subtlety was clearly not part of the plan.

In a post directed at Musk, Doja Cat asked him to restore the audio post feature to the platform. “Hey Elon if u see this please put the audio post feature back on here,” she wrote, before adding, “Thanks, u frog build looking bitch. Barrel chested ewok u look like u eat sand.” The request and the roast arrived in the same breath, and predictably, the internet had a field day.

What Feature Is She Talking About?

The audio post feature Doja Cat referenced appears to be the voice note function that was previously available for public posts on X. Based on user complaints that began circulating on the platform, the feature seems to have been quietly discontinued sometime in early 2025.

Direct message voice memos are still functional on the platform, but the ability to post audio publicly appears to have been removed without much formal notice.

It is unclear whether Musk has seen or responded to Doja Cat’s post. Given the phrasing of her request, however, the odds of a warm, cooperative reply seem slim.

Elon Musk completed his acquisition of the platform, then known as Twitter, in October 2022, immediately parting ways with its senior executive team. The first year under his ownership was turbulent by most measures, with monthly users declining by roughly 15% and advertising revenue falling by 54%, according to prior reports.

He has made sweeping changes to the platform ever since, with reactions from the public and the entertainment world ranging from enthusiastic to openly hostile.

More recently, Musk agreed in early May 2026 to pay a $1.5 million civil penalty to settle a lawsuit brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission. The suit accused him of failing to properly disclose the volume of Twitter stock he was purchasing ahead of his buyout of the company.

For a man whose net worth is approximately $826 billion, according to Forbes, the penalty was a rounding error at best.

Doja Cat Is Not the First Pop Star to Come for Musk

The “Paint the Town Red” rapper is joining a growing list of high-profile artists who have publicly clashed with Musk online. Back in November 2025, Billie Eilish made headlines when she called Musk a “fucking pathetic pussy bitch coward” for not redirecting his considerable wealth toward humanitarian causes.

The two incidents together suggest a pattern of pop stars using the very platform Musk owns to voice their frustration with him directly.

Doja Cat has long cultivated a reputation for saying exactly what is on her mind, whether through her music or her social media presence. Her willingness to combine a genuine platform feedback request with a series of personal jabs at the owner is on brand, even if it may not be the most effective strategy for getting what she wants.

Whether the audio post feature makes a comeback remains to be seen, but the post has already done its job of grabbing attention.

What Happens Next

X has not issued any public statement in response to Doja Cat’s post, and Musk had not replied publicly at the time of writing. The platform continues to face significant scrutiny from advertisers, users, and public figures alike, with each viral celebrity confrontation adding another layer to its already complicated public image.

For now, the audio post feature remains unavailable to the public, and Doja Cat’s message to the world’s richest man sits on his platform for anyone to read.
