Sacramento is about to get a new destination for Nashville hot chicken.

Angry Chickz, the fast-growing hot chicken restaurant chain, is preparing to open its first Sacramento location on September 25, bringing its made-to-order chicken, customizable spice levels, and casual atmosphere to the city’s Natomas community.

The new restaurant will be located at 4740 Natomas Blvd., Suite 100, with doors scheduled to open at 11 a.m. The Sacramento location will become the brand’s 40th restaurant in California and 48th nationwide.

For Sacramento residents who enjoy spicy fried chicken, the opening offers another option in a restaurant category that has expanded rapidly across the country.

Angry Chickz has chosen Sacramento’s Natomas area for its first location.

The restaurant centers on Nashville-style hot chicken, with a menu focused on chicken tenders, sliders, and bowls. Customers can also choose from several heat levels, allowing them to decide how much spice they want with their meal.

The chain’s spice scale starts with Country, which has no heat, and goes through multiple levels before reaching Angry, the brand’s most intense option.

That range means the restaurant isn’t exclusively aimed at customers who want extremely spicy food. Someone looking for a milder meal can choose a lower level, while customers who specifically want a challenge can move up the scale.

What Is on the Menu?

The menu keeps the focus on chicken while offering several ways to order it.

Guests can choose chicken tenders, sliders, or bowls, with sides including mac and cheese, coleslaw, and fries. The chicken is prepared to order and paired with different combinations depending on the meal.

The restaurant’s approach gives customers some flexibility without creating an overwhelmingly large menu.

For a fast-casual restaurant, that can make ordering relatively straightforward: choose the format, select a heat level, and build the meal around it.

Opening-Day Promotions

Angry Chickz is also planning special promotions for the Sacramento opening.

The first 100 guests through the doors are scheduled to receive an exclusive jersey. The first 500 guests will also have an opportunity to enter an on-site raffle for a year of Angry Chickz, along with other food prizes available through online registration.

The restaurant is scheduled to open at 11 a.m. on September 25, allowing customers to be among the first to try the new location.

Part of a Bigger Expansion

The Sacramento restaurant is another step in Angry Chickz’s expansion beyond its original Southern California base.

David Mkhitaryan founded the company in 2018, and it has grown into a multi-state restaurant brand. The Sacramento opening follows recent expansion into other markets, including new restaurants in Ontario, California, and Kingston, Pennsylvania.

The company says Sacramento is an important addition to its California presence.

” Sacramento has a great food culture, and we’re excited to finally bring Angry Chickz to the city,” founder and CEO David Mkhitaryan said in the company’s announcement. He described the opening as an important step in the brand’s continued expansion in California.

Why the Sacramento Opening Stands Out

Nashville hot chicken has become increasingly visible across the American fast-casual restaurant scene, and Angry Chickz is joining that growing market with a customization-focused format.

Rather than offering only one heat level, the restaurant lets customers choose their preferred spice level. That gives the same basic menu a different experience depending on what each customer orders.

The Sacramento opening also allows the company to introduce its concept to a new local market while continuing to expand its California footprint.

For Natomas residents, the immediate appeal is simpler: there will soon be another place to grab a plate of hot chicken without traveling outside the neighborhood.

Sacramento’s New Chicken Option Opens September 25

Angry Chickz’s Sacramento restaurant is scheduled to open Friday, September 25, at 4740 Natomas Blvd., Suite 100.
The opening will mark the chain’s first restaurant in Sacramento, its 40th in California and its 48th nationwide.

With made-to-order tenders, sliders, bowls, customizable spice levels, and opening-day promotions, the new restaurant is positioning itself as a fresh addition to Sacramento’s fast-casual dining scene.

For anyone curious about how much heat they can handle, September 25 will provide the first chance to find out.
