Foxx suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke in April 2023 while filming the Netflix movie “Back in Action” in Atlanta alongside Cameron Diaz.
At the time, his family described the episode only as a “medical complication” and asked the public for privacy while he recovered out of view.

Corinne was 29 years old when her father was hospitalized, and by her own account on the podcast, there was little time to sit with fear while everything was unfolding around her.
She has previously described her mindset during that stretch as something close to autopilot, focusing entirely on what needed to be handled next rather than processing the emotional weight of watching her father fight for his life.
That approach became critical once speculation about Foxx’s condition began spreading online, with rumors at various points suggesting his health had taken a turn for the worse.
Corinne became one of the only people close to Foxx willing to speak publicly during that period, and she has said she felt a responsibility to correct misinformation without revealing private medical details her father had not consented to share.
She has said her guiding principle throughout the ordeal was simple, telling interviewers that the public reaction did not matter as long as her father was recovering.
