Baseball fans have a full weekend to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the San Francisco Giants at Dodger Stadium.

The series runs from September 18 through September 20. According to Discover Los Angeles, Friday includes a drone show, Saturday features La Gran Fiesta at Dodger Stadium, and Sunday includes Kids Run the Bases.

It is an option for anyone looking to turn a baseball game into a full weekend outing.

Check Out Zootoberfest at the L.A. Zoo

A new fall event arrives at the Los Angeles Zoo this weekend: Zootoberfest, a family-friendly, Oktoberfest-themed celebration.

The event takes place Saturday and Sunday, September 19–20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The celebration includes German-inspired food, live Oktoberfest bands, lawn games, seasonal decorations, themed photo opportunities, keeper talks, and other activities. Admission to Zootoberfest is included with general zoo admission.

For families looking for something different from the usual weekend routine, the zoo gives a distinctly autumn-themed twist.

Explore the New Spider Pavilion

If you are looking for a museum outing with a seasonal twist, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County opens its Spider Pavilion to the public on Sunday, September 20.

The open-air exhibition runs through December 6 and allows visitors to walk among hundreds of orb weaver spiders and their webs. The museum also has enclosed habitats featuring other species, including tarantulas and wolf spiders.

The Spider Pavilion is one of those distinctly Los Angeles experiences that can make a regular museum visit feel a little more unusual.

See SOFI TUKKER at the Greek Theatre

For a night of live music, SOFI TUKKER performs at the Greek Theatre on Saturday, September 19.

The duo is scheduled to perform with Drama, giving concertgoers another major live-music option for Saturday night. The performance is listed for 7:30 p.m.

It is one of several concerts taking place across the city this weekend.

Catch UFC 331 at Crypto.com Arena

UFC fans have a major event on Saturday, September 19, with UFC 331 at Crypto.com Arena.

The event begins at 2 p.m., with early prelims at 2:30 p.m. and the main card at 6 p.m. The headline bout features flyweight champion Joshua Van defending his title against former champion Alexandre Pantoja.

The lineup also includes a lightweight co-main event between Arman Tsarukyan and Mauricio Ruffy.

See Peter Hook & the Light

Saturday night also brings Peter Hook & the Light to the Hollywood Palladium.

The performance features material from New Order’s 2001 album Get Ready, along with selections associated with Joy Division and New Order. Discover Los Angeles lists the show for September 19.

For longtime fans of the bands, it offers a chance to hear music from two influential chapters of the Manchester music scene live.

Experience “Ocean Child: I Am Yoko”

The Colburn School’s Zipper Hall hosts Ocean Child: I Am Yoko on Saturday, September 19.

The presentation is described as a musical journey into the life of Yoko Ono and coincides with The Broad’s current Yoko Ono exhibition. Yuka Honda and Glenn Kaino wrote and directed the project.

It is an option for people who would rather spend part of the weekend with music, performance, and art than at a traditional concert.

See Haruomi Hosono at the Greek Theatre

The Greek Theatre has another notable performance on Sunday, September 20, when Japanese musician Haruomi Hosono takes the stage.

Toro y Moi is scheduled to open the show.

The Sunday performance gives music fans another reason to keep the weekend going after Saturday night.

Watch the Chargers Take On the Raiders

Football fans can close out the weekend at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, September 20, when the Los Angeles Chargers face the Las Vegas Raiders.

The game is among the major sporting events listed for the Los Angeles area this weekend.

Whether your ideal weekend involves sports, music, museums, or something designed for the whole family, Los Angeles has plenty happening from Friday through Sunday.

With fall approaching, this weekend also offers a chance to catch several seasonal events before the city’s calendar moves into October.
