Post Malone is off the market again, and this time it looks permanent. The “Sunflower” hitmaker, whose real name is Austin Post, has gotten engaged to Christy Lee, the stylist he was linked to on and off since early 2025.

The news broke the way most Post Malone milestones do these days, not through a formal announcement but through a friend’s Instagram post showing off a very large diamond and an even bigger smile.

What makes the engagement notable is not just the ring, but the road that led to it. Post and Lee reportedly split last summer after only a few months together, then quietly found their way back to each other.

Now, according to multiple reports, the two are engaged after a proposal in Utah, with friends flying in for the occasion. It is a fast turnaround for a couple whose relationship has played out largely in paparazzi photos and fan videos rather than public statements from either party.

Lee’s friend, Marina Hollyer, confirmed the news by posting a photo of the newly engaged couple hugging on Instagram. In the image, Lee wears a veil and a “Bride to Be” sash while showing off her new engagement ring.

Hollyer captioned the post with an outpouring of affection for her friend, writing, “My best friend in the world just got engaged. Love you more than words, Toph!!!” Additional photos shared alongside the announcement showed Lee posing with the ring on her hand and the couple surrounded by friends who had gathered for the celebration.

TMZ, which first reported the engagement, said Post proposed on a Tuesday in Utah, with a group of friends traveling to the state specifically for the moment. The outlet, which had also broken the news of the couple’s earlier split, noted that it remains unclear exactly when Post and Lee rekindled their relationship after calling things off.

What is clear from the photos and videos circulating since the announcement is that the reunion is now very official, sealed with a ring multiple outlets describe as large enough to draw immediate attention on social media.

Neither Post nor Lee has issued a public statement confirming the engagement directly, which is consistent with how the musician has handled his relationships in the past.

He has historically let details about his personal life surface through interviews, offhand radio comments, or, as in this case, a close friend’s social media post, rather than addressing his romantic life head-on in front of cameras or reporters.

A rocky road back to each other

Post and Lee first linked publicly in early 2025, when they were spotted together at a dinner in Rome. The sighting came shortly after reports emerged that Post ended his years-long relationship with his former fiancée, Hee Sung “Jamie” Park, the mother of his daughter, toward the end of 2024.

In the following months, Post and Lee were photographed on additional outings, including a date night in Paris in April, and were seen displaying affection in videos filmed by fans at bars in small towns where Post was recognized.

Despite the public sightings, the relationship did not last through the year. According to TMZ, the couple called it quits after several months together, and sources told the outlet at the time that it was unclear whether the split was amicable.

Neither Post nor Lee addressed the breakup publicly, in keeping with the low-key approach both had taken to the relationship from the start. For a period afterward, the two were not linked together in any reporting, leading many fans to assume the relationship had run its course entirely.

That assumption did not hold. Sometime after the breakup, the couple appears to have reconciled, though neither Post nor Lee has confirmed the exact timeline of their reunion.

The engagement announcement effectively confirmed that whatever distance existed between them last year has since closed, and closed enough for Post to propose with friends flown in specifically to witness it.

It is a notable turn for a couple whose relationship had, until now, been defined more by breakup headlines than happy ones.

Who is Christy Lee, and what comes next

Lee, who is nine years younger than Post, grew up in Newport Beach, California, and graduated from Corona del Mar High School before moving to New York to study strategic design and management at the Parsons School of Design.

She has worked in styling, including as an assistant stylist at Kristina Askerova Studio, and has built a following on social media where she posts about fashion. Her career in styling gave her an early foothold in the entertainment world well before her relationship with Post drew wider public attention.

This is not Post’s first engagement. He proposed to Park in 2022, a moment he later described in detail during an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, recalling that his first attempt at proposing was turned down because he had been drinking heavily that night.

“I was like, ‘Hey, you wanna marry me?’ I got a ring and all this stuff. And she said, ‘No.’ She’s like, ‘Ask me tomorrow,’ and I was like, ‘Alright.’ And then I did, and I was sober, and it was nice,” Post told host Alex Cooper at the time.

That engagement ended without a wedding, and the couple’s daughter, born in 2022, has since become the subject of a custody dispute between Post and Park that has played out in court filings this year.

Against that backdrop, Post’s engagement to Lee marks a fresh start that appears, at least for now, to be a happier chapter. The couple has not announced wedding plans, and given how private both have been about the relationship so far, it may be some time before more details emerge.

What is confirmed is the ring, the celebration in Utah, and a small circle of friends who were there to witness it.

For a musician who has spent much of the past year navigating a public breakup and a legal dispute over his daughter, the engagement offers a rare piece of good news delivered entirely on his own terms, through the people closest to him rather than a headline he wrote himself.
