The post Brandi Glanville Says Ultrasound Tech Saw Something “Moving” in Her Face and Had Never Seen Anything Like It first appeared on Crafting Your Home
Brandi Glanville is giving fans one of her most detailed updates yet on the mysterious facial condition she has been battling for years, and this time the news came with an unsettling new detail.
The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star told followers this week that a recent ultrasound revealed something she was not prepared to see, describing it as alive and moving beneath her skin.
The update, shared across a series of Instagram videos, marks the latest chapter in a health saga Glanville has been documenting publicly since 2023, one that has taken her through dozens of doctors, tens of thousands of dollars in treatment, and now a diagnostic finding that even her medical team reportedly found unusual.
Glanville, 53, posted three separate Instagram Reels on Sunday, September 6, and Monday, September 7, walking her followers through what her day-to-day treatment currently looks like.
In the videos, she is seen assembling a set of infusions on her kitchen counter as part of a rigorous regimen that reportedly takes around 18 hours to complete each day and requires a home nurse to help administer the medication overnight.
“I’m so skinny right now,” she said in one of the clips, explaining that the infusions have made it difficult for her to eat regularly. She described feeling drained by the process, telling followers, “I feel like death. I look like death,” as she detailed the antibiotic IV treatment she said is used for severe infections.
What The Ultrasound Reportedly Found

The most striking update came in the third video Glanville posted, in which she told followers she was “finally getting some answers” after undergoing both an MRI and an ultrasound. “The ultrasound showed something I wasn’t prepared to see, and yes, I saw it with my own eyes,” she said.
She did not go into full detail in the initial videos, but she promised her followers a more complete explanation was coming. “There’s a lot more to explain, and I know you guys have questions,” she said. “I’m going to share more soon and give you a better explanation of what they found, what it means, and what happens next.”
In a separate portion of her updates, Glanville said the ultrasound technician who performed the scan described finding “something alive” in her face that “was moving.” She said the technician told her she had never seen anything like it before, and that a radiologist who reviewed the results agreed.
Glanville framed the finding as a step toward finally identifying what has caused her facial disfigurement, telling followers, “For now, this is what my days look like.
Treatment, answers and hopefully getting closer to getting this OUT of my face.” She also said she now believes she knows what is wrong, adding in one post, “I know what’s wrong, and I wanna cut my face open and take it out,” and noting that she had located a doctor able to properly read her MRI results.
Glanville went further in describing just how far she is willing to go if she cannot find a specialist to help her promptly. “So yeah, if I don’t find a radiologist to come cut this out of my face, I’m gonna do it myself,” she said.
The striking statement underscores how frustrated and exhausted Glanville appears after years of searching for a definitive diagnosis, and it reflects a level of desperation that has run through much of her public commentary on the condition since it first appeared.
A Years-Long Search For Answers
Glanville’s health struggles date back to 2023, when she first began documenting visible changes to her face on social media. She has said the issue started with sensations she compared to “tiny bubbles bursting” under her skin, and later that year she was diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema, a condition that caused severe facial swelling.
As her symptoms persisted and worsened, Glanville sought out numerous specialists, describing an exhausting and expensive process of testing that failed to produce a clear answer for a long stretch of time.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight earlier this year, Glanville said she had spent more than $70,000 trying to identify and treat the cause of her facial disfigurement.
“Honestly, I have so many doctors and I’ve had so many tests. I did lab work for $10,000,” she told the outlet. “They ran every test under the sun. They’re like, ‘It could be a parasite that’s new.’”
She also described the toll the ongoing search had taken on her daily life, saying, “I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize. I don’t go out and I’m just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what’s wrong with me.”
Glanville has said she believes her condition may be connected to a 2022 trip to Morocco, where she was filming “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.”
She has pointed to food that sat out for hours during the trip, including meat, as a possible source of exposure, telling outlets that her symptoms began roughly six months after she returned.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow, who took biopsies from her face and neck, previously told TMZ that the disfigurement could be caused by “an infectious process or a foreign body reaction to something she’s had injected,” pointing specifically to the possibility of a mycobacterium or fungal infection.
Dubrow warned at the time that such infections “can be very difficult to treat and could take six to 12 months of antibiotics to treat,” and cautioned that delays in treatment carried real risk.
“Every minute the microorganism is allowed to stay in her skin and do potential damage she could suffer worse for it,” he said. “It could be more difficult to treat and she could form more scars and more nodules.”
Despite Dubrow’s diagnosis, Glanville’s condition reportedly continued to worsen in the months that followed. In March, she told followers her face looked “worse than ever,” and she has since described her facial lumps as excreting liquid at times.
Beyond the physical toll, Glanville has also spoken candidly about how the prolonged health crisis has affected her personal life and sense of self. Speaking on the “I Do, Part 2” podcast earlier this year, she said the ordeal had cost her far more than money.
“I haven’t had sex in three years, the whole time I’ve been sick, because I lost my confidence,” she said. “I feel like I lost everything at once. I lost my job. I lost my reputation.”
As of this week’s videos, Glanville has not publicly specified the exact diagnosis she believes she has, nor has she named the doctor she says can now properly interpret her MRI results.
She has said a fuller explanation is forthcoming, and fans following her Instagram updates are likely to see more posts as she moves toward whatever treatment or procedure comes next.
For now, Glanville’s message to her followers has remained consistent across this latest round of updates: a mix of exhaustion and determination to finally find a resolution after more than two years of uncertainty.
