Angry Chickz, the fast-growing hot chicken restaurant chain, is preparing to open its first Sacramento location on September 25, bringing its made-to-order chicken, customizable spice levels, and casual atmosphere to the city’s Natomas community.

The new restaurant will be located at 4740 Natomas Blvd., Suite 100, with doors scheduled to open at 11 a.m. The Sacramento location will become the brand’s 40th restaurant in California and 48th nationwide.

A New Restaurant for Natomas

The restaurant centers on Nashville-style hot chicken, with a menu focused on chicken tenders, sliders, and bowls. Customers can also choose from several heat levels, allowing them to decide how much spice they want with their meal.

The chain’s spice scale starts with Country, which has no heat, and goes through multiple levels before reaching Angry, the brand’s most intense option.

What Is on the Menu?

Guests can choose chicken tenders, sliders, or bowls, with sides including mac and cheese, coleslaw, and fries. The chicken is prepared to order and paired with different combinations depending on the meal.

The restaurant’s approach gives customers some flexibility without creating an overwhelmingly large menu.

Opening-Day Promotions

The first 100 guests through the doors are scheduled to receive an exclusive jersey. The first 500 guests will also have an opportunity to enter an on-site raffle for a year of Angry Chickz, along with other food prizes available through online registration.

Part of a Bigger Expansion

David Mkhitaryan founded the company in 2018, and it has grown into a multi-state restaurant brand. The Sacramento opening follows recent expansion into other markets, including new restaurants in Ontario, California, and Kingston, Pennsylvania.

The company says Sacramento is an important addition to its California presence.
