The couple leaned into the venue’s quirks for their big day, even using the arena’s digital marquee to flash the message “JusT&T Married” to anyone walking past.
So when Styles, performing on the very same stage weeks later, casually mentioned that the building “also does weddings,” fans immediately understood the reference without him ever having to say Taylor Swift’s name.

While Styles could not attend the ceremony in person, his fiancée, actress Zoë Kravitz, reportedly did.
Kravitz and Swift have been described as longtime friends, and multiple outlets have cited her presence at the wedding without Styles by her side as evidence that there is no lingering tension between the exes or their respective partners.
Styles and Kravitz, the daughter of actor Lisa Bonet and musician Lenny Kravitz, were reported to have become engaged in April after roughly eight months of dating, with Kravitz having since been spotted publicly wearing what has been described as a large diamond ring.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end had previously hoped to attend a New York Knicks playoff game at Madison Square Garden but missed the chance due to his team’s minicamp schedule, according to earlier reporting.
Marrying at the arena reportedly let him finally experience the building in a personal, memorable way, even if it wasn’t in the context he originally imagined.
As for Styles, his connection to Madison Square Garden long predates this latest joke. He completed a sold-out, 15-show residency at the venue back in 2022.
He was given a permanent banner inside the arena to commemorate the achievement, cementing his status as one of the building’s most frequent and beloved headliners.
His current run, dubbed the Together, Together residency, began on August 26 and marks his only United States dates connected to the tour, with 30 total shows scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through an October 31 “Harryween” finale.
Jamie xx has been the opening act for the New York leg, following a run of tour support that has also included Robyn, Shania Twain, Jorja Smith, Fousheé, Fcukers, and Skye Newman at earlier stops.
For now, neither Styles nor Swift has publicly commented further on the joke beyond what unfolded on stage, and no representatives for either star have issued any additional statements addressing the moment.
Given how both artists have historically handled speculation about their past relationship, it is unlikely either will elaborate much further, leaving the internet to do what it does best: replay the clip, dissect every word, and enjoy the fact that pop culture’s most famous almost couple can still make headlines with a single unbothered one-liner about a basketball arena that apparently also does weddings.
